Watauga Robotics is a student-led, organized, and funded organization working through Watauga High School in Boone, North Carolina. Every year we compete in the First Tech Challenge robotics competition held by FIRST, whose goal is to promote STEM advancement in youth around the world.
At the beginning of the year, during the competition season, we spend our time designing, building, and programming our robot for the tasks we are given, and introducing new members to the experience of working in this kind of environment. With our small team and being self-funded, getting the work done is hard, but every season we put in that work to come out with a finished product and new experiences to learn from.
A huge thank you to our sponsors! We rely completely on donations and student-run fundraisers to supply our team with the necessary parts, supplies, and registration fees to compete each year.
